Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 16, 2026

Our Commitment

Orkyd, owned and operated by LarkTek, LLC, is committed to ensuring that our software and websites are accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that everyone — including users of assistive technology — should be able to learn about our products, manage their flower-shop operations, and contact us with confidence.

We work to provide an inclusive experience that meets or exceeds the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act, and to apply the technical guidance set out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Conformance Status

This statement applies to www.orkyd.io, orkyd.io, ca.orkyd.io, and the authenticated areas of the Orkyd point-of-sale application that we operate.

We are working toward conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA across our public marketing, sign-in, contact, and policy pages. The Orkyd application itself is in partial conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the standard is largely met, but some operator-only areas of the application may not yet meet every success criterion. We test new pages against automated accessibility tooling and manual keyboard / screen-reader review, and we are actively working to bring outstanding areas into full conformance.

Accessibility Features

Across our public pages we have implemented the following:

  • Semantic HTML landmarks (<nav>, <main>, <footer>) and a “skip to main content” link so keyboard and screen-reader users can move past navigation quickly.
  • Logical heading structure to help screen readers convey page outlines.
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields.
  • Text alternatives (alt attributes) on informative images, and aria-hidden on decorative icons so screen readers don’t announce them as content.
  • Form fields with associated labels, required-field indicators, and inline error messages that are programmatically associated with their inputs.
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA for body text and interactive controls. Brand accents are used in roles where their contrast is sufficient (large headings, backgrounds, or paired with a darker hover state).
  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting — animations and parallax effects are reduced or removed when a visitor has requested less motion at the operating-system level.
  • Responsive design that supports zoom up to 200% and works on small-screen mobile devices.

Compatibility With Assistive Technology

Orkyd is designed to work with the latest versions of the following browsers and screen readers:

  • Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari on desktop
  • Safari on iOS and Google Chrome on Android
  • NVDA and JAWS on Windows
  • VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
  • TalkBack on Android

We test against the most recent stable release of each browser and the two most recent major releases of each screen reader. If you use a different combination and run into a problem, please let us know — we will do our best to help.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of and are actively working on the following:

  • Some operator-facing data tables in the administrative POS application have not yet been fully tested with screen readers and may have row/column labeling improvements pending.
  • A small number of third-party integrations (for example, embedded payment, mapping, and e-signature widgets provided by Stripe, Google Maps, and BoldSign) render content that we do not directly control. We rely on those vendors’ accessibility commitments and continue to provide non-visual alternatives wherever possible.
  • Printed thermal-receipt output is intentionally formatted for physical printers and is not designed for screen-reader use; the same data is available in the on-screen order detail.

Reporting an Accessibility Issue

We welcome your feedback. If you encounter a barrier on any Orkyd site or page — or have a suggestion for improvement — please contact us. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue promptly.

Accessibility feedback

Email: accessibility@larktek.io

Web: Contact form

When you reach out, please include the page URL, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology and browser you were using, and a description of the problem. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Formal Complaints

If our response does not satisfactorily resolve your concern, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice or your state attorney general’s office. We are committed to working in good faith with anyone who reports an accessibility barrier.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We review this statement and the underlying implementation at least once a year, and whenever we make significant changes to our public pages or sign-in flow. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review.
